Breathalyser Direct recently supplied this and the AL6000 breathalyzer for use on some BBC Drama programmes.
Most recently the AlcoSAFE will be used on BBC 1's Holby City Medical Drama Series. One of the central characters (Dr Greg Douglas - played by actor Edward Macliam) is featured being breathalised by an AlcoSAFE breathalyzer
Please watch the videos below. The first test shows a sample of breath which results in a 0.00 reading and a GREEN light TCSS Display (Safe).
The second test shows a positive alcohol test resulting in a high reading and an accompanying RED light TCSS Display (Unsafe)
There is a further warning from the TCSS Traffic Light System which will result in an AMBER (Attention/Caution) Display.

Sensible readings and arrived within 24 hours - thanks alot.
It arrived the very next day. Nicely packaged, well presented with clear instructions, (Not that these were even needed due to it's simplistic and easy to comprehend display). I have mainly used it for 'morning after' checks and have found it to be reliable and accurate.
I have shown it to multiple friends and they have also ordered it without any problems, and all seem very happy with their purchase.

Not so with this breath tester.
Awesome as a morning after checker and also gives sensible, stable results after a few glasses of wine. For me, the unique selling point is the traffic light system which they claim you can not get wrong - seconded ! The other great selling point is that it is supplied by Amazon directly, so arrived next day. I know that Amazon have a reputation to protect so they are not going to sell junk. All Amazon products will have been checked and tested until they are happy that they do the job.
Easy, clear instructions - even my 85 year old Mum could work it after 2 x glasses of sherry !!
I am not the most numerate of people and have found in the past that breathalysers I have owned displaying decimal points and complicated measurinmg units leave me confused !
The Alcosafe is dead easy to use. Just turn it on, it will count down to 0 (as the sensor warms up to operating temperature) and then blow - it then analyses the result in seconds and will give you a 'no nonsense' colour traffic light display - RED/AMBER/GREEN. You can't really get it wrong. Obviously RED means get yourself a taxi or go back to bed, whilst GREEN is okay or low alcohol levels - AMBER - be VERY careful. Very happy with it, and have bought a couple more for my two sons who like a drink (!) and then need to make sure they are safe the morning after the night before. It arrived the day after I ordered it - recommended, great value device. Stay Safe !
